I Will Overcome!

I have told you all this so that you may have peace in Me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.

(John 16:33)

Choose to be free this day! Jesus has overcame the world. There is nothing that you are facing that He cannot fix. Put your trust in Him and enjoy this day knowing that He is taking care of you!

Humility!

Pride ends in humiliation,
while humility brings honor.

(Proverbs 29:23)

It is so much better to keep yourself humble then to fall into the trap of pride. The Bible teaches that every good gift comes from above so everything that is good in us is from God. Keep it in perspective and you will save yourself from humiliation!

Bold As A Lion!

The wicked run away

when no one is chasing them,
      but the godly are as bold as lions. (Proverbs 28:1)

We have God on our side so we can face any situation with confidence and boldness knowing that everything will work out because God is taking care of it! We never have to run in fear! We are children of the Most High God!

Why Should I Be Afraid?

The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress,

protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?

 (Psalm 27:1)

This scripture was shared at my church last night and it is worth repeating and getting ahold of what it means! Why should we be afraid of anything when God is on our side and He is bigger than everything! Do not let fear get ahold of you, shake it off and think on how much God loves you and will take care of you. You will find yourself full of faith and the fear will be gone!

Quick To Listen!

Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: We must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry.

(James 1:19)

How much trouble would we save ourselves if we followed this scripture? Today I encourage you to do exactly what it says! Let me know how it works for you!

 

He Heals The Brokenhearted!

He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. (Psalm 147:3)

God will never leave you brokenhearted. He will answer you when you call out to Him. He holds every tear you cry. He knows every number of hairs on your head. He sees your heart and longs to make it whole. Just pour yourself out to Him, let Him take control.

How Do You treat Your Spouse?

 Better to live on a corner of the roof
   than share a house with a quarrelsome wife. (Proverbs 25:24)

I believe this scripture is for a man or woman. Men can also be quarrelsome. I ask today that you stop and think about how you treat your spouse. Your spouse is your other half. The two of you make up one. Are you hateful to yourself? Treat your spouse better then you do anyone else. Your spouse is connected and closer to you then anyone. Allow God to come in and mend any hurts and show your spouse grace starting today!

Love Never Gives Up!

Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.

(1 Corinthians 13:7)

Can we love as this scripture says? Think on this scripture today, do you think you can live it? In ourselves it is hopeless, but through God all things are possible!

Make Me Willing!

Restore to me the joy of your salvation,and make me willing to obey you. (Psalm 51:12)

When you ask Jesus to save you there will be a joy fill your heart. As time goes by that joy can be hidden. That joy never leaves it just gets covered up by cares of life. God will restore that joy if you ask Him. He will refresh you. When that joy is flowing in your life you will find that you are willing to obey Him.



Offering To God!

 Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to Him as an instrument of righteousness. (Romans 6:13)

Give all of yourself to God. Give Him your time, attention, Give Him your mouth to speak to others through. God will not take anything from you, He wants you to offer it to Him out of the love you have for Him.

He Made Me Holy!

God has united me with Christ Jesus. For my benefit God made Him to be wisdom itself. Christ made me right with God; He made me pure and holy, and He freed me from sin.

 (1 Corinthians 1:30)

All of our righteousness is because of Christ. Jesus died on the cross for our sins and when we chose Him, He made us right with God, He made us pure and holy. He freed us from our sins. I pray we all will walk in each gift that Jesus died to give us!

Take Courage!!

But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

(Matthew 17:27)

God calls us to do things that are uncomfortable. Like telling a hateful person that Jesus loves them. Living out God's love can be a challenge from time to time. When we feel fear rise inside of us we need to think about this scripture. Jesus says to take courage and He says this because He is always with us, we have nothing to fear!

I Will Speak Kind Words!

Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body. (Proverbs 16:24)

You have the power to make someone's day great and that is by speaking kind words. This scripture tells the importance of kind words. It brings health to the body. Be quick to encourage others and build them up!

Today Is The Day Of Salvation!

For He says, “In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.”

   I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. (2 Corinthians 6:2) 

Stop putting off the things of God. The Bible doesn't say tomorrow is the day of salvation, it says today! Today is the day that you need to live for God. Today is the day that you step out of bondage. Today is the day that you serve God with all of your being. Today is the day of salvation!



I Will Not Sin Against You!

 I have hidden Your word in my heart
   that I might not sin against You.

(Psalm 119:11)

When we take time to read & study God's word, we hide His word in our heart. His word is alive and powerful. His word will renew our minds and change our reactions. His word, put into action, will keep us from sinning!

Everlasting God!

Lord, you have been my dwelling place
   throughout all generations.
Before the mountains were born
   or You brought forth the whole world,
   from everlasting to everlasting You are God.

If you have a hard time believing that God can change and fix your problems, start thinking about the fact that God has always been alive, He has no beginning and no end. He has created every possible thing. Just looking outside and seeing all God has created will help you to realize to Him your problem is very simple to fix. Have faith in Him and He will help you!



I Will Sing To The Lord!

Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim His salvation day after day. (1 Chronicles 16:23)

When we have a revelation of what it really means to be saved, we will tell everyone! We will sing to our God and we will proclaim His salvation everyday! Salvation is not just going to Heaven, though that right there is enough. It also means to walk in wholeness, health, prosperity. Jesus did not die on the cross for us to be sick, live in poverty, or lacking in anyway. When Jesus died on the cross He took all of that upon His shoulders and gave us His grace and His favor. When we take ahold of this in our heart then our mouth will not be able to stay quiet, we will proclaim Him to everyone!

He Has Set Us Free!

Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1,2)

If the thoughts going through your mind are of condemnation then they are not of God. God does not tell you that you are a loser or a failure. No matter how many times you fall He is there to help you do it right the next time. He wants you to succeed even more then you want to for yourself. Jesus came to set you free!

Full of Grace & Truth

The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. I have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

Jesus came to earth full of grace and truth. He didn't come to condemn, He came to love. We are to follow His example, we are to show grace and truth in all that we do!

I Wait For The Lord!

I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in His word I put my hope. (Psalm 130:5)

You cannot go wrong putting your trust in God. He is our hope! No matter what you are facing today, He has an answer for you. With all that you are wait upon the Lord and He will show Himself to you!

You Will Know Them By Their Fruit!

Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.  By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. (Matthew 7:15-17)

We cannot judge people but we have to protect ourself from dangerous people. God says we will know them by their fruit. You can know someone is up to no good without judging them. God gives us wisdom to make good choices and we have to watch the fruit that people produce for our own protection!

The Lord Will Judge Me!

 I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. (1Corinthians 4:3,4)

We all fail, none of us are perfect. We do not have any right to judge anyone. God is the perfect judge and we all will stand before Him. Make sure when that time comes you have Jesus as your lawyer!

Shouts Of Joy!

He will once again fill my mouth with laughter and my lips with shouts of joy. (Job 8:21)

No matter what you are facing, it will pass. All the troubles you may be dealing with right now will not last forever. You may think you will never laugh again, but yes, you will! God will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy!

Self Control

A person without self-control is like a city with broken-down walls. (Proverbs 25:28)

Everyone can see the damaging results of a person who does not control themself. God asks us to walk in self control. Even when circumstances come our way and we have every right to unleash, we have to make the choice to do right. God is always ready to help us walk in self control, we just have to ask!



Gentleness!

Since God chose me to be the holy people He loves, I must clothe myself with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. (Colossians 3:12)

God is very gentle with His children. He will never hurt or make fun of us. He shows His gentleness even when we mess up. He never says " I told you so", even when He has. He holds His hand out and says "I am here, let me help you!"



Faithfulness!

I will run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, I will pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. I will enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. (2 Timothy 2:22)

You have to decide to pursue the good things of God. Faithfulness does not just happen, it is action. It is making the choice to do it God's way. Even in choosing friends, you must surround yourself with people who love God, they will strengthen you. If your close friends are not believers and you find that they take you further away from God then you need to choose to move on!

Goodness!

But I am not like that, for I am a chosen people. I am royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, I can show others the goodness of God, for He called me out of the darkness into His wonderful light.

 (1 Peter 2:9)

You are chosen by God! Wow! Right there shows God's goodness! God is always blessing His children with good things! His goodness should just flow out of His children because they are full of His blessings!

Kindness!

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.

(2 Corinthians 6:6)

The saying goes "The proof is in the pudding". Everyone knows who are true Christians. Most Christians stand out by their kindness because of God's love inside of them. They are quick to be nice to the person who is rejected. They are quick to help out in need. Can others see your kindness?

Patience!

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of His great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in Him

and receive eternal life.

(1 Timothy 1:16)

People are watching you. If you call yourself a Christian then they will want to watch your actions. When we walk in patience we become very different then the world. People will see that we are different and we can direct them to God. 

Love!

He turned the intended curse into a blessing because the Lord your God loves you.

(Deuteronomy 25:3)

God shows His love in every action He does and has done for us! He doesn't just say loving things, He gives love, He shows love, He is love. He is worthy of all of our love!



Joy!

I take joy in doing Your will, my God, for Your instructions are written on my heart.

(Psalm 40:8)

God is good and everything that He wants us to do is good. We need to take joy in His will. Allow His word to be stored in our hearts!
